Leon (Pop'n Music)
When I got into Pop'n Music, Leon clicked pretty much instantly with me. I love everything about him, he's got an awesome design and his colour palette is super aesthetically pleasing, I don't have a single bad thing to say about him. I love him so much and he makes me incredibly happy.
Yusha (Pop'n Music)
Last time I updated this, I didn't put anything of substance in this field. But now I am! I always liked him on the side of my main pop'n focuses, but one day I started shipping him with Leon and it was absolutely over from there. I love him a lot and I think about both him and Leon a very normal amount.
MZD (Pop'n Music)
Lord, MZD is so cool. He's literally just Pop'n God; he's usually a DJ, and sometimes he uses computer window magic. It's super cool. He's super cool.
My personal favourite portrayal (pictured) is that of Votum stellarum / Vinculum stellarum, but he takes many forms!
Mr. KK (Pop'n Music)
Mr. KK was originally a character I only liked by association with other Pop'n characters, but then I had the bright idea of sticking him with MZD and he shot up the list fast. He's just having a good time! He's a good guy!
Ataru Hori (Mr. Driller series)
This boy is very very special to me and I'm very strongly attached to him!! He means the world to me, and he's very personal to me. I don't have a lot to say about his character because my portrayal of him is heavily influenced by headcanons, to the point where I think my portrayal and canon could be considered separate entities, but I love him with all my heart, and I hope that you will too.
Klug (Puyo Puyo series)
Oh god do I love this boy. He's the entire reason I originally got into Puyo to begin with, and he'll always be my favourite Puyo character. locker jokes are getting old btw
Pikachu (Pokémon series)
Figured it was time I put this one here. I've loved Pikachu for a very very long time! It's been my favourite Pokemon ever since I was five years old, and my former online identity was built around it. There is no force in this world that could take Pikachu from me ever.
Choromatsu Matsuno (Osomatsu-san)
I go back and forth between putting this one here, but I've loved Choromatsu ever since I first picked up the show. I think he's a really lovable guy! I also find his anxiety really relatable...
Otacon / Hal Emmerich (Metal Gear Solid series)
Metal Gear Solid was not a series I expected myself to enjoy, but it turns out Otasune was my gay awakening? Otacon is really neat but I currently don't have much else to say about him.
Botley (JumpStart series)
Definitely the odd one out on this list. JumpStart was a childhood game of mine, but I never actually played 3rd Grade as a kid; it was only within the last few years that I really got into it. If I said there's genuinely really good storytelling potential in an educational game I'd probably get confused looks, but I'm saying it anyway.
N (Pokémon series)
Honestly, I could leave this guy off here, especially since my favourite Pokémon men rotate like flavours of the month, but he's shown up in dreams several times and always makes me feel happy when that happens so I think he deserves a spot. I love N Pokémon.
